PLUS3:What’s the theme?
The only theme is getting those brain cells fired up instead of killing them on social media feeds.
Who decides the content?4
I’m currently handpicking it (someone’s got to plant the seeds). Soon, it will be curated with the community (because it takes a village).
Who’re you?
I am
. I was once a coal miner in Mozambique.
Weed (yeah, that kind) grew on my porch. An excavator fell into the ditch, boats capsized, people got kidnapped, a bug burrowed in my ear, I dangled a car off a cliff, and I tumbled down a hill. Oh, and there were blasts, too, a whole lot of them, every week.
I also worked (in case you were wondering ;)). You can find out more about me on LinkedIn.Why Substack?
Right now, I want to focus on the hunts and the community-building aspects of ‘whoop!’ instead of building yet another app or website.
Substack has everything we need to start tech-wise. Plus, great content, creators, and consumers are already here, simplifying distribution. Why’s there so much “I,” “me,” and “my” in this About page?
Well, I am the only one actively involved as I write this.
I am waiting for the moment, hopefully not very far from today, when I can finish a conversation with the ever-ominous :
“Now there’s two of us!"…5…and stroke Mr. Bigglesworth while I am at it.
Enough gifs. Just tell me how it works.
Everything you need to know is here.

Come, challenge your mind!
Love,

Also, every hunt unfolds over three days, from Friday to Sunday, and we take a week’s break after every two or three hunts.
By design, a mechanism for delayed gratification, a rare commodity in our feed-infested times, is baked into ‘whoop!’
Newsletters, podcasts, talks, essays, books, poems, stories, music, what-have-yous
This is an important question because if ‘whoop!’ peddles the same ass-shaking, finger-pointing, mind-numbing, heavin’-and-steamin’ pile of bull crap the social media feeds are subjecting you to, then what’s the point, right?
Therefore, who curates the content (and how) is extremely important.
